NAP 155 XS power amplifier

The NAP 155 XS is the perfect companion to the NAC 152 XS preamplifier in an XS system. It features a very large mains transformer – both physically and in terms of its power rating – and at the heart of its power supply uses the same reservoir capacitors as the award-winning SUPERNAIT integrated amplifier. The NAP 155 XS employs similar construction techniques to the NAIT XS integrated amplifier with a castellated heatsink and reduced earth reference routing to deliver enhanced performance and more music. The NAP 155 XS is a power amplifier straight out of the classic Naim mould: fast, detailed, dynamic and single-mindedly musical.

NAIM 茗 NAP 152XS 前级放大器

Its input circuitry must accept the entire output of the source without being overloaded, while the frequency response and level of input signals must be normalised. The signal then needs further conditioning to ensure that the power amplifier is never driven outside its operating parameters.
Exceptional overload capability is maintained over the whole audio bandwidth. All our preamplifiers have a frequency response to within 1dB between 20Hz and 20kHz and offer perfect stability under all working conditions.
There are no switched filters, tone or loudness controls on Naim preamplifiers: design at this level makes them superfluous. They can never improve the quality of the signal, and there is a sharp penalty for their use in terms of loss of musical information.
We house the power supplies for our preamplifiers in separate cases to avoid the degrading effects of magnetic fields and pay very special attention to both earthing and the type of input connector used.

When a separate preamplifier/power amplifier approach is preferred, the NAC 152 XS provides the perfect option. It was conceived around a completely new motherboard design that incorporates advances of both analogue electronics and mechanical decoupling, and its performance is detailed, refined and utterly musical. Versitility is a NAC 152 XS forté too. Its six analogue inputs all offer DIN or phono connection options and it incorporates a front-mounted, auto-switching input socket for convenient MP3 player use. Power output for a Naim phono preamplifier is also included and a two-stage power supply upgrade regime brings true high-end preamplifier performance easily within reach.

NAIM 茗 NAP 200 后级

NAP 200 power amplifier

During the years of research that went into the NAP 500 amplifier, many technical developments were made that could be successfully applied to the existing products. Many of these developments, along with the elegant new styling have been incorporated, resulting in the 'Classic' line-up. Like the flagship NAP 500, the NAP 200 uses a new circuit design with improved earthing arrangements built on a very high quality, anti-resonance main audio circuit board. Anti-vibration, resonance-controlling feet serve to protect the sensitive internal components from resonance and microphonic vibration. A new, top-quality 430VA toroidal transformer provides more than 300VA of transient power. Separate windings provide dedicated left and right channel rectified supplies with two smoothing capacitors per channel. The NAP 200 also has a separate winding providing a preamplifier power supply. This enables the NAP 200 to be used in a two-box amplifier configuration with a Naim preamplifier such as the NAC 202. The naim NAP 200 is stable into any load and able to drive a 2-ohm load for long periods of time.
